Rain Stories

The British summer is notoriously terrible, I think we all know that by now. But even for Britain we have had an excessive amount of rain fall (in the north west of England at least), and it rained ALL winter as well. Terrible weather means terrible blog photo opportunities so instead you can have a selection of weather related pictures

This was actually from a trip to Sheffield, I had a cute little outfit on and had to travel back to Manchester on trains that evening, it absolutely threw it down, the dry bit was wear my rain coat was covering, it made little difference overall.

So with half dry hair and a funny coloured playsuit - and probably smelling a little of dried rain I got on my train to Manchester. I then had to walk from Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Victoria, which on a busy Saturday evening is extremely difficult. Even more so when you have about 15 mins until your next train. So I half ran across Manchester, dragging my mini suitcase, still not fully dry (it hadn't even rained in Manchester) and squeezing past people. An overly friendly guy felt this was an appropriate time to stand in front of me and ask for a high 5, this was my reaction on Twitter on the day

I'm still not sorry.

Anyway I made that train, red sweating and out of breath. Every apology to the lady I sat next to, she looked mortified. I realised it looked like I hadn't washed for a week with my rain soaked self, only covered by the sweat. I was that really gross person on the train.

The weekend just gone, me and my friend got all dressed up for a Hollywood themed party, so fun to look so fancy, right up until we had to prepare for the rain

Does Blake Lively show up on the red carpet in a raincoat?

There have been some incredibly moody looking skies looming over Rochdale lately, this is a view from one of my work windows looking over Rochdale. No amount of filter or editing was making Rochdale look nice.

And then the picture below, once I got over the fascination of blue skies (what are those- we still couldn't quite find the sun) I thought the clouds looked so cool, the picture doesn't even do the sky justice at the many layers of clouds.

The weather forecast looks as though we're getting a bit of warmer weather next week, still no sun though. I hope you've liked my weather related ramblings.

What's the weather been like near you? Is it feeling like summer yet?

Thanks for reading,

Rachel xx
